Saint Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in West Jordan, Utah, is certainly the valley's most original and one of its most beautiful places of worship. Dedicated to a hard-working congregation that originally consisted largely of employees of Kennecott Copper, the church's rough exterior and refined interior pays homage to St. Joseph, patron saint of the working man.
In October, 2012, the church won a merit award for Sparano & Mooney Architects who in turn were named "firm of the year" by the Utah Chapter of the American Institute of Architects.
These low-altitute aerial photos were taken by a camera mounted on a miniature helicopter. This combination produces intimate aerial photos that are perfect for small to medium sized buildings. The miniature helicopter produces images much closer than is possible with manned aircraft yet at an elevation not achievable with scissor lifts or cherry pickers.
